With so many diets available today, which do you choose? The list seems endless. Some websites list 10,20...50 to choose from!

Do you follow the latest celebrity fad or do you play safe and follow a diet approved by the medical profession?

We, at Beauty Direct, don't recommend any particular diet plan and would be wrong to do so.  Undoubtedly, the best way to start is to consult your medical professional or doctor to ensure the diet of your choice is suitable for you.

We have researched what others say are the most popular or those that show the best results for weight loss and weight reduction. As a result, we have listed what may be called the Top Ten.

We can't recommend which will be best for you as an individual but can say that any diet should be incorporated into your daily routine with a view to having a healthy lifestyle. 

Weight loss, weight reduction and slimming have to be viewed in the long term and diet is one of the first steps.

Why not try to choose a diet that you can enjoy, which already has some foods you like and usually eat. Remember, moderation is usually the key for most of us. Food isn't a sin and is there to be enjoyed - as long as we take it easy on some of the food groups and types.

Be realistic about the weight you want to lose and how quickly you want to lose it. And finally, it would be great if you could choose a diet which leads you into choosing the types of food you would like to eat long term. If you can, weight loss will be more permanent. If you go back to your old eating habits as soon as your diet is over, then you'll have wasted time, money, lots of effort and all that hard won weight loss will have been for nothing.

Remember - it's lifestyle you need to change and diet is one of the first steps.
